The plantation is served by the Calabash Fire Department. Station 2 is located on the perimeter of the plantation at 8995 No. 5 School Road. The department has at least one paid firefighter on duty at all times, but is staffed primarily by volunteers. There are a number of residents of the plantation who are volunteer firefighters.

The Emergency Medical Services department of Brunswick County supplies paramedic ambulance service for the county.
